Mother Yourself Urban Retreat June 2025

Becoming a mother is one of the greatest transitions a person can experience, yet unlike most other major life transitions it goes largely unacknowledged in most modern cultures. Becoming a mother changes you, and it can often be a challenge to find YOURSELF in the day to day activities of modern parenthood, even more challenging to take the time and space to actually care for yourself. That is what this retreat is all about. An opportunity for Mothers, of any kind, at any stage of parenthood, to come together for self-care, reflection and community support. Maybe you feel want to connect with your role as a mother. Maybe you want to find yourself outside of your role as a mother. Maybe you just need time for YOU. Whatever it is, this retreat is for you.

Who: All mothers. New mothers. whatever stage of parenting you find yourself in, you are welcome to join this transformative day on Matrisence and the continual evolving role of Mother.

What: A one day retreat in the heart of Brussels. Featuring:

Energetic Yoga Practice to rebalance the nervous system

Restorative Yoga Practic to invite relaxation

Mothering is challenging and it is easy to loose ourselves in it.

Therapeutic Yoga for Women Retreat in Spain

Following 2019’s Amazing “Yoga for Women” retreat in the mountains of Andalucia, I’ve decided to do it again! I am going back to the Lucia Yoga Nature Reserve Retreat Center for another 5 days of Yoga, Meditation and taking time for self care. It was a true pleasure to be joined by a group of women growing and healing together, and I am overjoyed to be able to do it again, this time 13-17 May 2020!

Life for the modern woman comes with challenges that manifest themselves physically and mentally. Stress can become chronic lead to anxiety and depression as well as physical pain in backs and shoulders and trouble with digestion and sleep. Join me for 5 days/4-Nights of reconnecting with body, mind, breath and spirit in Beautiful Andalucia, Spain at the Lucia Nature Reserve Retreat Center in Southern Spain. Surrounded by Nature we will practice yoga, meditate, eat mindfully and take time just to breathe and be. You will also have plenty of free time for hiking in the pristine surroundings, taking a dip in the five pools ,visiting nearby villages and, of course, relaxing and checking in with yourself.

Yoga Nidra for the Fall Equinox

Would you like to feel well-rested? When we have enough sleep we have a sense of well-being, but for many adults this is not our consistent experience. Yoga Nidra (sometimes referred to as 'yogic sleep') is a method for refreshing yourself and activating the relaxation response.
Yoga Nidra is a practice of guided meditation to facilitate a conscious sleep state. Though there exists a debate over the science that supports the claims, 45 minutes of yoga nidra is widely believed to create a feeling of having slept for 3 hours.

One explanation for this feeling of having slept for hours is related to the series of brain-wave changes experienced during yoga nidra. A useful metaphor is driving a car, and bringing it to park. First you must slow it down before you can turn the engine off. In yoga nidra, brainwaves are brought into rest state with slower more restorative brain-wave activity.

Curious to experience this? Keen to try it again, having experienced it before? Join me for a guided yogic sleep.

Family Planning Informational Webinar

Do you feel overwhelmed by the contraceptive choices available to you? Wish you had more options? Want to try something different but unsure of the risks and benefits? This webinar is for you!

My Masters in Public Health (in reproductive health) combined with holistic knowledge from yoga puts me in a unique position to have a great deal of information on all aspects of family planning- physical, mental, energetic, risks, benefits etc. It seems selfish to keep this information to myself so I am sharing it with the world. I will be hosting a 1-hour webinar where I will go through a basic description of the reproductive system plus information on how each method works, and the pros and cons of each one. There would be plenty of time for your questions plus info on special populations, like people who are breastfeeding and those who want to avoid hormones. I can say it will be completely unbiased an judgement free, I want you to find the right method for YOU!
This Webinar will be Thursday, 13 September at 19:30 Brussels time. The webinar will be about an hour long and it will be recorded so if you can't join us live you can join us after. The webinar will be 10 Euros payable via banccontact or Paypal (with a small additional fee).
You can sign up here (or if you would like to pay via bank card see info below) and you will be added to the Facebook group where the talk will take place. This will also be the place for you to ask any additional questions (you can also ask me them privately) share resources and to have further discussion before and after the class.

To pay via European bank card please send 10 Euros to
BE45 3631 5551 5389
Please notify me so I can ensure payment is processed.

Please note information in this webinar is not intended to replace information and recommendation from your doctor or other health professionals. This session is for information purposes and is not intended as personal recommendations.
