New Podcast Episode: Inherited Trauma

I think this may be my favorite episode so far! Inherited trauma and stress has been something I’ve been interested in since I first learned about Epigenetics in 2016. Since becoming a parent this interest has evolved, it isn’t just about myself anymore, but my kids too.

I reference several great books in this episode. One section I had to cut talked about one of my favorite books on the topic, My Grandmothers Hands by Resmaa Menakem. The topic of racialized trauma is an important one and I didn’t want it to get overlooked just because it didn’t exactly fit with the topic at hand.

I also mention It Didn’t Start with You by Mark Wolynn and the wonderful healing exercises the author proposes.

There is also a spoiler for my new book club which I will launch soon. I will announce the official first book in a few weeks but this episode names the likelies first contender.
